In this time of crisis
RE-OPENING FOR MASS
St Joseph's has not been opened for individual private prayer, largely because of the "hoops" that have to be jumped through to be given permission to open.
We are, however, making preparations so that both St Joseph's and St Patrick's can open for a weekend Mass when this is allowed.
It is likely that the Mass at St Patrick's will be a Saturday Vigil, and that the Sunday Mass at St Joseph's will be at 10am.
No communication has been received from the Bishop yet about reopening for Mass, but it is likely that there will be a number of restrictions. In particular, to meet social distancing guidelines, it is possible that only 35 people will be able to attend Mass at St Joseph's.
Rather than operate a "first come, first served" system, it is possible that there will be some form of booking of places. Please watch the parish Facebook group for the latest news.
From 25 March 2020, Holy Mass will be live-streamed EACH WEEKDAY at 10.30 am and on SUNDAYS at 11.00am
There will also be a live-stream of the Angelus at 12.00 Noon each weekday, followed by praying the Rosary. Details of other devotions are available via the Leeds Cathedral website and Cathedral Bulletin.
To participate online, please access the Leeds Cathedral Live YouTube channel www.leedscathedrallive.org.uk where the words of Prayers, Devotions and Orders of Service may be viewed, or downloaded from the Diocesan and Cathedral websites.
Missing your soup? This wonderful opportunity to meet together will be back as soon as the crisis lifts!
